GP VIPAVA VALLEY: MANUEL ZOBRIST WAS 5TH IN SLOVENIA
The swiss rider, who was in the breakaway the whole day, achieved a good top 5
24/03/2022, Nova Gorica The Team corratec gets a good result in the newborn Gp Vipava Valley, race with start and finish in Nova Gorica, in which Manuel Zobrist was highlighted.
The Swiss racer in fact raced to the attack by entering the breakaway at the beginning of the day and remaining in close contact with the lead until the decisive attack brought less than 10 km from the finish by Felix Engelhardt, Fran Miholjevic and Jonas Rapp who then fought for the race win.
The Croatian rider of the Cycling Team Friuli got the better of it and our Zobrist missed very little to get back to the three leading men, even if the final placement is still very satisfying for the rider directed by Marco Zamparella.
Seconds after crossing the finish line Manuel Zobrist said: “Today it was a crazy day, all day up in front with the peloton chasing us. I missed the decisive attack but I am very happy with my result. I am getting better day by day and I feel that I can still improve as the season is very long. Thanks Team corratec for the support”
Further back the group, cut off from the fight for success, in which Stefano Gandin and Dusan Rajovic arrived.
Our next race, the last of the three evens in Slovenia, will be the Gp Adria Mobil that will take place on Sunday.
